Sensory issues aren't taken seriously in mainstream school

Student's sensory needs: can't wear uniform (seams), needs movement breaks, gets overwhelmed in noisy classroom. Response: 'Every student adapts to school, not the other way around.' Policy: no exceptions.

Sensory needs are treated as 'picky.'

How do you work within systems that won't acknowledge sensory issues?
