Should I tell everyone or keep it private?

Got diagnosed last week. Now I'm terrified. If I tell people at work, will they see me differently? If I tell family, will they use it against me? If I keep it quiet, am I lying?

The diagnosis is mine but it doesn't feel safe to own it out loud.
