My in-laws think it's bad parenting, not ADHD

Kid diagnosed ADHD. MIL's reaction: 'We never had ADHD in our time. You're just not disciplining properly.' Now family gatherings are full of subtle jabs.

The diagnosis is mine. The shame is family-inflicted.

How do you handle family members who invalidate the diagnosis? How do you protect your kid from their judgment?

You can't control how family reacts, but you can control how much access they get to the topic. 'We're following professional advice and it's going well' ends a lot of arguments.
