Nobody at school understands my kid's needs

School says: 'Your child is fine here.' But they're masking hard. At home, they're dysregulated all evening. I know school is causing distress but proving it requires documentation, meeting, fighting.

My kid performs normal for 6 hours then crashes. School calls this success.

How do you advocate for accommodations when the school says your kid 'seems fine'?

Unmasking in one safe place first made all the difference for me. You don't have to do it everywhere at once.
