My 6yo won't talk but everyone says 'they'll talk when they're ready'

Speech delay. Not nonverbal but significantly behind. Everyone: 'boys talk later,' 'Albert Einstein didn't talk till 3,' 'stop worrying.' But waiting is costing time, and I can't push for evaluation because apparently I'm anxious.

Trusting your gut is harder when everyone contradicts it.

How did you push for speech evaluation when people dismissed it? What changed?
