My kid stims and I'm told to stop it

Teacher asked me to work on reducing hand-flapping (my kid's regulation tool). School sees it as a 'behavior issue' not a regulation need. Do I comply with school or honor my kid's needs?

The tools my kid uses to regulate are being pathologized by adults.

How do you protect your kid's natural stims while navigating school pressure to suppress them?

Falling apart after holding it together all day is so common it has a name โ€” after-school restraint collapse. It's not bad parenting, it's trust.
