Early intervention is ₹15,000 a month — how is anyone affording this?

Just got quoted ₹15,000/month for speech plus OT. That's half my grocery budget. The psych says early intervention is critical and I believe her — but I also believe in paying rent.

If you're navigating therapy costs right now, or you found an alternative that actually works, honest question: how are you making it work? Subsidized programs? Government clinics? Things you do at home that genuinely help?

Not judging anyone's choices. Just honesty about what it costs to be a neurodivergent family in India.

Thank you for saying the quiet part out loud — the cost is real and 'just find cheaper therapy' helps no one. Let's crowdsource honestly: subsidized clinics, NGO programs, district early-intervention centers, anything by city. Where are you based?

Our district hospital had an OT at a fraction of private rates — long wait, but real. Also a local parent WhatsApp group shares which NGOs run sliding-scale sessions. Ask around more than you'd think to.
