NT kids have peer pressure (dress right, be cool). My ADHD teen has peer pressure PLUS doesn't understand social subtext. They're vulnerable to being taken advantage of in ways other kids aren't.

ADHD/autism + adolescence = specific risks.

How do you teach your teen about safe relationships and boundaries when they don't read social cues?

Teens can smell an agenda from three rooms away. Casual side-by-side conversations — car rides especially — worked far better for us than sit-downs.
